The world recently lost one of its greatest singer-songwriters of recent memory with the untimely passing of Kris Kristofferson. The all-around journeyman truly lived life like no other, a Rhodes Scholar who traveled the world with his songs, concerts, and movies, becoming one of the first Nashville songwriters to throw away the boundaries of polished studio sounds and, like his pals Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Roger Miller and others of the ilk would go on to become the outlaws of country music.

25 years ago, Kris got together with some of the world's greatest players and singer-songwriters and created his masterwork, "The Austin Sessions."
